Established in 1895, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is a higher educational University in Batumi, Capital of Adjara, Georgia. University is named after the medieval Georgian poet Shota Rustaveli. The University was founded by the Batumi pedagogical Institute and has grown to offer a wide range of courses over time.
